This guide provides the steps for scanning and adding newly arrived stock items to the Denven inventory, helping you maintain accurate stock levels and effectively track deliveries.
1. Scanning Arrived Items
Navigate to the Scanned Items Section
In the Denven app, go to the Scanned Items section to add new products.
Scan New Stock
Use the Scan Barcode feature to scan each item. This automatically adds the product to your inventory, ensuring the latest stock is accurately reflected.
2. Adding Barcodes to Products
Access Product Page
Find the specific product in your inventory.
Select Add Barcode
Click on Add Barcode and scan the item. You can add multiple barcodes for one product, making tracking easier.
3. Tracking Backorders
Automatic Backorder Tracking
If fewer items are received than were ordered, Denven automatically logs the shortfall as a backorder, helping you track items that are still pending.
4. Handling Extra Quantities
Choose Action for Extra Stock
If more items are received than ordered, you can either:
Store the Extra Quantity: Add it to inventory.
Return the Extra Stock: Send it back to the supplier to maintain accurate stock levels.
5. Deleting Scanned Items
Adjust Quantity or Return Product
If an item should not be added to inventory, set its quantity to zero in the scanned list. Alternatively, you can return the item rather than delete it directly.
Following these steps ensures that your stock is accurate and up-to-date with each new delivery. For a detailed visual guide, watch our YouTube tutorial below on scanning and storing new stock deliveries in the Denven Stock Application.
